English lavender is more cold hardy than other lavenders, and very fragrant.
'Hidcote Blue' variety has deep purple-blue flowers and an upright habit suited to edging and low hedges, rockeries and waterwise gardens.
'Munstead" is compact with fragrant, rosy purple flowers and is suitable for perennial borders, rock gardens and herb gardens.
Frost hardy and drought tolerant. Very free-flowering in spring and summer; clip it over afterwards and it will often flower again.
