
A small thorny, deciduous shrub, which produces abundant crops of gooseberries in late October. Good to use in pies, preserves and jams. Thrives in moist, well drained soil in a sunny position with some aternoon shade. Protect from strong winds. Apply high potassium, complete fertiliser in spring.
