A thornless fast growing variety which produces heavy crops of deep purple to black fruit which ripen over summer. Eat fresh or freeze for later use. Ideal ingredient for adding flavour to deserts, fruit pies and jams. Best fruit formed on last season's wood, therefore encourage new basel growth every year. Remove old wood back to a good bud. Prune late winter and fertilise with citrus food in early autumn.
